Žana, miljenica svemira (Žana, Beloved of the Universe)

It speaks of a woman and the family she shapes, of life sprouting and being born, of a girl who from her very first moment had to be brave – and was. This Žana, beloved of the universe, born with half a heart yet with room for the whole world, can journey alongside us all.”

For this sensitive, sorrowful yet inspiring narrative I illustrated the cover. I wanted it to emphasise fragility, sensitivity and the tenderness with which we enter the world. Despite the weight of the story I used bright colours to lift childhood joy and that inner urgency that makes us cling to life.
